The eyes have it

I’ve now had both eyes replaced.

(well, not “replaced,” but it sounds more interesting than “cataract surgery.“)

And it’s as life-changing as if I’d had them actually replaced.

I’ve been wearing eyeglasses since I was 16, first for nearsightedness, then for that and farsightedness (never did understand how I could have both; shouldn’t they cancel each other out?) and, more recently, to “force” my eyes to work together).

Now, I need no eyeglasses for regular stuff. And, with a pair of reading glasses from Target (costing 5% of what the prescription glasses cost), I can read books, computer, phone, etc.

Still have another 4 weeks of daily eyedrops (a mix of an antibiotic, steroid and nsaid) and followup appointments. But, meanwhile… WOW.
